Another Rescue Me cartoon - thinking the President is in trouble a bit. Polls went down on independent approval numbers. And I think one of the things this country needs more than anything is single payer insurance for EVERYONE. Everyone should have coverage - yes it should be a RIGHT when you are born. I said it. This country is rich enough. We bailed out the damn banks, we can take care of our human beings - our people health - LIFE. So I was thinking about my favorite show and President Obama's recent sliding approval numbering and I thought of this image.
A play off PETA ridiculous attack on the President for swatting a fly on national TV. They wanted the free TV time of course. So I made a play off the Spike TV show "Deadliest Warrior" as a rematch fight sponsored by PETA "The FLY Vs. Mr. President.
In this cartoon I have our President staying on top on his board and having the strength to point to the bleachers for his next homerun - always thinking ahead no matter how think the seas underneath him are. On top the lame duck squeaks.
You'd have to be a Star Wars fan to understand this cartoon completely. As a young Jedi in training still, President Obama has gotten burned some by promises he has missed from his campaign. But overall he has done well. Public Patience is wearing thin however and I do think it will be an obstacle in his future if he cannot get some of his bigger promises done such as healthcare and energy.
President Obama's Stimulus Money hot off the presses... Well Maybe that's a Little tough on him but I am worried about the spending and the deficit.
It's been a tough first 6 months for sure. I think under the circumstances Barack Obama has done considerably well - especially with foreign policy. Let's see what he can do with energy and health care before the end of 2009.
The Prince gave him "BLING" in Saudi Arabia and praised his speech in Cairo. Overall the world praised President Obama's speech and his tour.
